Creating one universal competency map spanning the jobs of 2030 is a big job. Frankly it’s too big to tackle on our own which is why we’re crowd sourcing the project. And since our motto is Mapping the World of Work… and since cartography is all about map making, we figured the name worked. 🙂
What we care about most is helping solve the pandemic employment crisis so yes, we’re providing free access to job seekers. Initially, our plan is to use Cartography Project sponsorships and donations to fund TWOW.org. In the long run, we’ll use a share of our profits to keep it operational.
TWOW.org (The World of Work) is where we provide job seekers with free access to our universal competency map spanning the jobs of 2030. Over time, we expect the site to become a valuable resource for job seekers and workers in transition. Or as we like to put it, the jobs of 2030 for the workforce of 2030.
They can but for many businesses, it’s overkill. To avoid confusing their staff and job applicants, businesses typically only want to work with the jobs and competencies relevant to them. Most times, that’s only a subset of The World of Work.
SkillBank makes money providing companies with access to our competency matching technologies and talent alignment features which increase worker satisfaction and business results.
It’s a place where experts can help author the jobs, and competencies of 2030. The Marketplace helps them monetize their expertise and enhance their thought leadership. It’s also a place where SkillBank clients can gain access to high quality content to maximize the results they get from SkillBank.
